Our Ash Wednesday Service will be held in the First UCC sanctuary this Wednesday, February 14 at 6:00 p.m.

On the 5 Wednesday evenings in Lent (February 21 to March 20) we will be gathering in the Fireside Room at 5:30 p.m. for a simple soup and bread supper. After supper we’ll engage in a series of conversations on five Christian practices that we find beautiful, or at least desirable, but which often seem a bit weird to people outside of our circle (and sometimes even to us on the inside.)

We’re labeling this series “Christian Weirdness.”  Here are the topics:

Wednesday, March 13th —Caring for the poor

Wednesday, March 20th —Loving your enemies

Why do we do these things?

Why do we do them the way we do?

What do these practices convey?

How might we practice in a more meaningful way?
